Business Commission
For use on a business scale; brand/company logos, retail clothing and merchandise designs, photo editing to remove obstructive hair/particles/insects, etc. for print/web articles. Art like this tends to entail royalty agreements or high upfront compensation, especially if a brand owner is buying the sole rights to the artwork. Purchasing sole rights from me means that ONLY the client may use the purchased artwork in any way they choose to gain revenue indefinitely.
Taking this into account, prices vary WIDELY due to factors like brand popularity, run of the product (permanent or limited edition), and distribution size. This means your piece could cost anywhere from hundreds to thousands of dollars depending on the intended market and rights ownership. Please discuss the scope of your business with me in-depth and honestly on the commission form and in subsequent emails.
As a rule of thumb, mom and pop businesses with less reach and/or smaller batches of product will pay less. Large companies with high reach and/or bigger batches of product pay more.
- The base price of $130 is for FIVE hours of work at my standard rate of $26/hr which covers the average consultation, drafting, and rendering phases for basic brand imagery.
- The price modifiers below are a frame of reference for what your project may cost.
- These modifiers account for added complexity/work time/additional compensation for art in the Business Commission category but don't come close to covering every scenario.
- If you purchase existing clip art/stock art for me to use your total cost will be lower because there is less work for me to do.
- Be sure to save the receipts for stock/clip art as proof we have the rights to use/post/print without attribution to the original artist. Otherwise send me the original artist's name to add attribution.
- Don't worry if you don't see the service you require listed below, I will add a custom price modifier for unspecified project types after accepting your commission request.
- Niche art types/freelance pieces under NDA with custom pricing will be removed from listings after the transaction is complete.
NOTE: Established brands will always get custom price modifiers posted for their orders. I know those high amounts may look very intimidating to new/small businesses so please don't worry if you happen to see one listed, it would not reflect my usual prices!
